All He's Got to Do Is Ask

Anthony said, “Jonathan keeps taking my stuff!” Jonathan said, “Well, he won’t share.” Then Jonathan gets spiritual and says, “Daddy, didn’t you teach us to share?” “But he won’t ask!” Anthony cried. “I don’t mind sharing it if he would just ask for it and not be presumptuous and just come take it. All he’s got to do is ask.” I interjected, “Jonathan, ask him.” So Jonathan reluctantly said, “May I use it?” Anthony replied, “Yes, all you had to do is ask.” Do you know that God wants to deal with things in your life if you just ask? You do not have because you do not ask.

Children must ask for what they need rather than presume; similarly, God wants us to ask for what we need in prayer.
