Salvation Waiting to Be Claimed
Illustration★★★★The headline read, “ A billion dollars nobody wants. ” The United States government produces one dollar coins, but unlike in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, or in Britain with one pound coins, they’re just not popular with the public. They’ve never caught on. So in vaults all over America, there’s about a billion dollars worth of dollar coins sitting unused. All that money, just sitting there.
Perfectly good money that could be used, but isn’t being used. But far more importantly, salvation so often isn’t being claimed or accepted.
Today, you and I can come to Jesus, and have life—and He’s waiting to give it. Even to the most undeserving person. If you’ll claim it, Jesus will give it to you. Everlasting life.
It’s too good to leave just sitting there.
The point
America vaults contain a billion dollars in unwanted dollar coins; similarly, Christ's offered salvation sits unclaimed by those who reject it.
