Jeremy Plants a Seed

Jeremy was a 10 year old boy who lived in Yugoslavia who heard his pastor say, “Anyone and everyone can witness for God.” His pastor said in that sermon, “All you need to do is plant a seed.” The next day he and his dad were going to the park. So they caught a bus to the park. The bus was nearly full. Only single seats were available. So he sat next to an angry looking man. Jeremy thought to himself, ‘I answered my pastor’s appeal yesterday and I need to talk to this man.’

So Jeremy looked over at this man and asked him if he was a Christian. The man blew up at him and said, “You’re still young so you don’t have a clue how much hypocrisy is in the church. All those stories you read in the Bible, they’re all trash.” Jeremy didn’t have anything to say back to this man so he began to think how he could still witness to him. Then he remembered something his dad once said. He said to the man, “Sir does my watch tell the time.” The man was growing more frustrated because he wanted to have a peaceful bus ride, so he looked at his watch and looked at Jeremy’s watch and he said, “Yes it tells the time.” Jeremy smiled at him and replied, “No it doesn’t!”

Now this man was beside himself, “Yes it does!” he exclaimed. “No it doesn’t!” “Fine, tell me why it doesn’t have to tell the time.” “You have to read the watch then you will know what time it is. See Sir you have heard the Bible stories, but you need to read the Bible and then you will see what time we’re in, and it will change you.” The man had no comeback now. So he says, “How will it change me?” The boy pointed to his father and said, “This is how the Bible changed my dad.” My dad was an alcoholic who used to beat me and my mother everyday, but one day I saw him reading a book and I started to notice changes in him after he started to read this book. Slowly he stopped beating my mother and I and found the remnant church.” “What is the remnant church?” “The 7th day Adventist Church, but don’t worry about that for now. All you need to know is Jesus died for you and He’s resurrected and He’s coming back to take His people home. Sir Jesus is calling you home, but Sir this is my stop now and I need to go. Have a nice day”

Because that boy let the Lord use him on that bus ride that atheist man is now a SDA Pastor in Croatia.
