Salvation; Wealth

The body of a homeless man who died from hypothermia was found by children playing in the snow near a bridge in Evanston, Wyoming. The man died alone and broke. He died not knowing that his great-aunt had recently died and left him nineteen million dollars in her will. He died homeless and penniless when in actual fact, he was very wealthy.

He fought hunger every day when he could have bought the local supermarket. He didn’t have a home of his own, yet he could have bought the ten most expensive homes in town and had plenty of money left over. He just didn’t know what he truly had. He didn’t know who he truly was.

And, he didn’t know what someone had done for him. Do you know how wealthy you are? Do you know what God has done for you? Do you know what God offers you today?

Just as that man was the nephew of a wealthy woman, you’re a child of the King of heaven. One day soon we’ll be reunited with Jesus, and those who have simply accepted his extravagant offer of eternal riches will be saved for eternity.
