The Law of Aerodynamics

THE OPPOSITE of the law of sin and death is the law of the Spirit. This law overrides sin and death. The law of gravity says what goes up must come down. However, when you get in an airplane, there is another law at work—the law of aerodynamics.

This law says that if an object moves at a certain speed, and with a certain thrust, it will be able to climb out of gravity’s pull. When an airplane flies, gravity hasn’t stop being “gravitational”; it has simply stopped being in control.

The law of aerodynamics sets you free from the law of the pull of gravity. The law of sin and death is always at work. But when you combine the combustion of the Holy Spirit with the speed of obedience, a new law lifts you higher and into a new plane of spiritual life and victory.

We ought to be rising higher, saints! You ought not to be living under the circumstances. You ought to be flying above the circumstances because you have an aerodynamic Holy Spirit. You have a law that transcends sin and death.

When Christians learn to operate by the law of the Spirit, the reality of the law of sin and death doesn’t disappear. The pull of sin and death is still operational but is no longer in control.
