Encouragement; Hope; Faith
Illustration★★★★What is it that keeps you going? Y ou work hard to get through that long shift at work because your family is depending on you. Y ou run that extra mile because you know that your training will pay off, and you’ll reach your goal of running your first marathon. Y ou keep sharing your faith because you know that one day someone you speak to will give their heart to Jesus.
But in all of these things you can encounter setbacks and disappointments. So what keeps you going? King David went through some real hardships in his experience, but there was something that got him through.
He says in Psalm 27:13, “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. ” David said he simply wouldn’t have made it through if he didn’t believe that. So what keeps you going? Don’t lose heart. We’ll see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
