Parent and Child Distinction

You may be staying up fairly late until you are ready to go to bed, and your child wants to know how come he or she can’t stay up because you’re doing it. They have lost the distinction between parent and child. Hopefully you’ll tell them that there is a difference and that you are doing it because you are the adult!
Our children simply can’t do everything we do because we are the parents and they are the children. There is a distinction. They cannot ever be fully like us. We will always be the parents and they will always be the children.
When Satan comes on the scene and says we can be like God, it’s just not true. It’s just not possible.
The point
As children cannot be like parents despite trying, humanity cannot become like God—Satan's deceptive lie.
