Angels Visit Mother's Prayer
Story★★★I read once of a mother praying at the bedside of her child when she heard the voices of angels. “I am health,” one said; “whomsoever I touch shall never know pain.” “I am wealth,” said another; “whomsoever I touch shall never know want.” The third angel said, “I am fame; whomsoever I touch shall be renowned.”
“I am power,” cried the fourth; “whomsoever I touch shall have dominion.” The fifth angel said, “I am wisdom; whomsoever I touch shall have knowledge.” “I am love,” another said; “whomsoever I touch shall win the world’s affection.” The seventh angel said, “I am none of these; whomsoever I touch shall have high ideals.”
The mother, with out-stretched arms, exclaimed: “Oh, you with the high ideals, touch my child!”
