Moses' Early Years
Historical Account★★★★Israel had been in Egypt for 135 years. Levi in his old age had borne a daughter and he must have been at a ripe old age like Abraham. But he bore a daughter named Jochebed according to Numbers 26 verse 59.
The text says that she would bear, or that she would, yeah, bear a son with Amram, whom according to Exodus 6 and verse 18 was a son of Kohath. Which means that Amram was the grandson of Levi and the nephew of Jacob. Moses was the third child of Jacob and Aaron and Miriam were the ones who came before him.
So open your Bibles and let’s read this story as it’s recorded there in Exodus chapter 2. We’re talking about Moses and the ark.
