One of the number suggested “he would rather believe the Koran than the Bible.’ The minister, on interrogating him, found that he knew nothing of either the Koran or the Bible. “Surely,” said the minister,” it is not too much to ask men to read what they condemn; and if you will take my advice, you will apply yourself to the prayerful study of the Word of God. You will then have no occasion to inquire which book is entitled to your belief, for you will know and be assured which is the Word of God.”
