God's Braces

However, braces are also uncomfortable and can get in the way. They make eating difficult because foods get stuck easily. They can even cause pain, as every so often they must be tightened up. God has called every Christian to be His braces—to bring together things that are separated or people who don’t look like they can get along.

Christians are called to be God's instruments for reconciliation, mending divisions just as braces straighten teeth and bring separated things together.
