Tigger and Eeyore Baseline
AnalogyStory★★★★One of the things we used to do in the group home is we paid attention to the baseline behavior of all the kids. Like, is this kid like a Tigger? Are they all over the place, you know, bouncing off the wall? Or are they more like an Eeyore, you know, kind of depressed and down? And then start to notice, like, how do they deviate from that? And then that gave us an indication like, okay, the Tigger’s like all calm today, what’s going on? There might be something different. Then we check in with the kid and say, hey, did you know that, you know, typically you’re kind of bouncy and stuff and you’re kind of calm now. Oh, yeah. Then they can share what’s going on in their life.
