Did you put the blood on the doorpost?’ Dad: ‘I will, son, I will.’ Child: ‘Did you do it, dad?’ Because they knew that mattered to God and therefore it mattered to them because their life depended on it. Can you imagine eating that meal, everybody’s sort of quiet, the whole camp, everybody’s just somber as you anticipate what is about to unfold.
