Wishing to hide it from shipmates who would hijack the precious stuff, he opened a cabinet where fifty dusty Bibles were kept. The Bibles had not been used for a long time, and Riesenberg thought that they would not be missed. So he threw the Bibles, one by one, through the porthole. In a few moments the captain rushed into the library asking for an explanation, for moving off with the tide through Hellgate were fifty Bibles.
