Cain's Descendants and Lamech's Poem
Historical Account★★★★Then we see poetry. I mean, when we saw poetry, and earlier we saw how Adam broke out in poetic words when he saw Eve. But here we see poetry for a much different reason. Genesis 4, 23, I’ve killed a man, he says, for wounding me, even a younger man for hurting me. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, then Lamech seventy-sevenfold. Do you see what’s happened? Where as Cain sought to keep his murder quiet, Lamech, 7 generations later, brags about killing not just 1, but 2 men, and 1 of them young.
