Nature’s Lesson
Poem★★★★Nature is a teacher, pointing above,
Instructing, teaching, testifying of love;
She tells of patience, sacrifice and sustaining power,
Of meekness and beauty in the gentle spring shower.
Nature’s lesson book presents the bird of the air
To illustrate especially God’s tender care.
“Be encouraged, have hope!” nature yells out loud,
“Behold, the sun is always just above the storm cloud.”
Listen carefully to nature and you just might learn
The lesson of the flower as to the sun it does turn,
That faith in the Maker who made her for you
Bids all of your heart to turn to Him too.
His voice in the bird’s song, in the sighing of the trees,
In the rolling thunder and in the music of the seas.
He pleads with humanity through nature to say,
“I love you dear child, I’ll never turn you away.”
