Man w/ Woman In Romania

There was a man in Romania. At series of meetings an appeal made about the 2nd coming of Jesus. He came to the pastor crying. He was very well dressed and well off.

After all the people left they sat down and talked. The man said, “I believe what you say and I want to be ready, but I have a problem, I live with a woman, and I don’t know how to get rid of her.”

The pastor asked, “What’s more important, the woman or your salvation?” He said, “My salvation is more important, but I don’t know what to do.

I love her. She will leave me if I become a Christian.” The pastor said he would talk to woman. He was so thankful.

They made an appointment for 1pm, but the pastor was not able to make appointment. The Pastor was embarrassed that night because he let the man down. That night the man shows up with girlfriend. They are smiling and happy together.

The pastor apologized. The man said to the pastor, “Today I got nervous because you didn’t come. He knew he had to face the problem himself. He opened his heart to her.

“I love you with all my heart, but I want to be ready for the Lord to come. I know you may leave me, but I have to give my heart to the Lord.”

She wept and said, “For years I wanted to become a Christian, but I was afraid to tell you because I thought you would leave me.” They got married and both joined church. This man was a helicopter pilot trainer. He died a few months later when a student turned off the gas by mistake and they both died.

Friends, aren’t you glad that man made the decision before it was too late? He chose to give up that which was most important to him in order to accept Christ. Friends, is there something in your life tonight that is standing between you and Christ? Is it worth holding onto if you lose eternal life?
