Derrick Prince's Prayer for Rejection

I want to share a story as I bring this to a close by a preacher by the name of Derrick Prince. He was at a camp meeting and he was coming around the corner and literally ran into another lady. And the lady had a huge smile on her face after he ran into her she said, ‘Brother Prince, I was praying that if it was God’s will I would run into you.’ He says, ‘Well sister, it looks like God has answered your prayers.

What could I do for you?’ And she started explaining her situation and he was literally on the way to a very important meeting that he was almost running late for, and after one minute he says, ‘Ma’am, may I pause you? I think I understand your problem. Can you please repeat this prayer with me?’ She said, ‘Sure.’ And he said this exact prayer with her: ‘God, I thank you that you love me. I thank you that you’re my Father and I’m your child.

I am not unwanted, I’m not rejected, I am accepted in Christ. I’m a member of God’s family. Heaven is my home. God is my Father and I belong to you.

Amen.’ She said, ‘Amen.’ And he says, ‘I have to go. I’m so sorry.’ He goes to his meeting. A month later he gets a letter from this lady. She says, ‘Brother Prince, I have to tell you my life has completely turned around.

My life has totally turned around. Saying those words have changed my whole life, I am a different person.’
