My Conversion Through Isaiah 46

Isaiah 46, 9 and 10 are actually the 2 Bible verses that I read for the first time for myself when I actually studied the Bible for myself. My family, we went to church for a little bit when I was a kiddo, but then later on as I got older, we had the right to make our own decisions and I kinda stopped going to church with my brothers.

And then as we stopped going to church, I kinda drifted away from God and the principles of God. And in my own heart, I actually no longer believed in a God, I didn’t believe that there was anything supernatural or spiritual that existed. And then as an adult, I sat down with an individual and we read these 2 Bible verses.

These were the first 2 Bible verses I ever read for myself. It says, ‘Remember the former things of old, for I am God and there is how many else? There is none else. I am God and there is how many else?

There is none else. I am God and there is how many like me? There is none like me.’ Now is that a big claim to make? Like to claim to be God, is that a huge claim, yes or no?

That’s a huge claim to make. So God gives this enormous claim and then he backs it up with enormous evidence.

He says that he declares the end from the beginning, and from ancient times, things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.’ The first point of Bible prophecy that I want to establish tonight from Scripture, from Isaiah 46 9 and 10, is this is what separates the true God from false gods. God is saying, ‘I am God and you can know I am God because I actually have the ability to tell you what’s gonna happen before it actually happens.’ All of these false gods and false religions cannot do that.

So Bible prophecy actually separates the true God from the false. And this was powerful to me, and I’m not gonna try to tangent too much into my personal testimony tonight, I promise. We’ll get to the book of Revelation. But this was important to me because my biggest question was if there is a God, why would he not give some evidence that I can know he exists?

Is that a fair question to ask? Like if there was an all-powerful, all-knowing God, wouldn’t he give me some way to know that he’s actually there? And then I read this verse with a friend and he challenged me that God has given the evidence and it was up to me if I was willing to explore the evidence, i.e., Bible prophecy.
