My Advocate
PoemI have a case at court, and court is set; How soon my case is called I may not know, But from the seat of justice dare not go Till sentence has been passed on me, and yet, Although my stains of sin more deep than crimson be, I have an Advocate who pleads for me. I have a case at court, and court is set, The Judge supreme is in the judgment seat; With trembling, low I bow before His feet, Convicted by my own proud heart, and yet, Though downcast, guilty eyes see not the Judge’s face, My Advocate has never lost a case.

The point
A courtroom scene of the soul, awaiting judgment for sins deeper than crimson, finds its only hope in an Advocate who pleads its case and has never yet lost one.
