Buildings Look Like a Thumb
IllustrationAnalogy★★★★WHEN a man or woman stands on the ground in a downtown area, they can’t see too far up or out because buildings that are so much bigger surround them. All a person can do is stand on the corner, look down one street or another, and have a view a few blocks in front of them. If that same man or woman takes off in an airplane and ascends to a higher position, those tall buildings now don’t look any bigger than a thumb.
They’ve gone high enough to see the big picture. As long as you’re at ground level, everything looks so big. Money problems look big, people problems look big, and job problems look big. If we’d allow God to help us see things from His perspective, our worries would begin to look a lot smaller.

From ground level, buildings and problems look enormous; from an airplane's height, those same tall buildings look like thumbs. God's perspective shrinks our worries.
