Newer Americans
Story★★★★Christians prefer not to speak of “foreigners” but of our “newer Americans.” Any family whose son fought for the flag deserves to be called “American” and not “foreigner.” The owner of a Pennsylvania worsted mill which manufactured American flags decided to discover how many different nationalities of the newer Americans were working in his mill making the American flags from the wool of American sheep. He found that wool was: Sorted by an Armenian, Carded by an Italian, Spun by a Swede, Warped by a German, Dressed by an Englishman, Drawn in by a Scotchman, Woven by a Belgian, Inspected by a Frenchman, Scoured by an Albanian, Dyed by a Russian, Pressed by a Pole, Examined by an Irishman.
Here all the races are living and building together the America of tomorrow in which all their children will have a common destiny.
