The Phone Battery That Died
StoryAnalogy★★★★I WAS talking on my phone one day and it began going “beep, beep, beep.” The beeping noise indicated that the battery was low. After a couple of minutes, I heard a clicking noise. The battery had died because it had been off its charger too long. In other words, it was putting out with no refill and so it lost its power. It lost its “anointing.” It lost its ability to function at the level it was designed to function at because it had stayed away from its source too long.
We can’t keep running on spiritual empty and wonder why we’re only limping along in the Christian life. We are regularly caught unexpectedly on empty because we don’t stay close to our source of strength on a regular basis.
