Don't Just Look at the Doughnuts

No one goes out to the doughnut shop just to look at the doughnuts. You go to the doughnut store to EAT donuts! One thing is guaranteed though—if you do go to the doughnut shop to look at donuts, you will end up eating them. Why? Because the more you stare at it, the more you are going to want it. Satan’s goal is to get us focused on our sin, but focusing on our sin can’t help us. We have to focus on something else, someone else, who can help us overcome that sin.
The point
Focusing on sin empowers it; victory comes through fixing our gaze on Christ instead.
