Lost Car Keys

I remember at one time I was the prayer meeting leader at Pioneer Memorial Church in Berrien, a large church. I would lock the keys up at the end of the day. That evening I had told people that they need to pray big prayers. I was trying to encourage them to believe what God could do.

I was locking the church up when suddenly a mother and a couple of children came in and they said, we’ve lost our car keys. So we all began to look for the lost keys. We didn’t have much success and I remember that one of the little girls tapped me and said, don’t you think this would be a good time for one of those big prayers you told us about. I was on this bar.

So I said yeah you’re right we need to pray. So we all got down we prayed then we got up and we continued looking for the lost keys.

We weren’t getting anywhere but the Lord was convicting Dan and I said you know we really haven’t taken time to hear the answer. So we knelt again and said, Lord, we really need to know. And I cannot explain to you how it worked, but at the end of the prayer, I just said, you know, I think we need to check the lost and found to see if it’s there.

Now, this woman had attended prayer meeting. And somehow, for it to have been taken into the Lawson Fountain of the Church already was beyond me because I was the one with the keys, but anyway, that was the situation.

So I had the keys, I opened it up and sure enough the keys were there.
