Be Ye Ready
Story★★★★Near a certain lake in Switzerland, away from the beaten paths of the tourists, a traveler chanced upon a beautiful residence. At his request the caretaker showed him around the extensive and lovely gardens. “How long has your master been away?” the traveler asked.
“For 12 years.” “Does he write often?” “He has never written.”
“From whom do you receive your pay?” “From his agent in mainland.” “Does the agent come often?” “He has never been here.”
“Who does come then?” “It is very seldom that anyone comes this way.” “Yet,” the traveler said in amassment, “You have the garden in such perfect order, everything flourishing as though you were expecting your master to come tomorrow!”
“As though he were coming today, sir today!” said the caretaker. Heb.10:37.

A Swiss gardener kept his absent master's gardens in perfect order for twelve years, never hearing from him—as if expecting him daily—a parable of readiness for Christ's return.
