Building a Brick Wall

Picture that there is a line in the middle of the auditorium. On one side is you and other side is God. And whatever it is that you are struggling with. God says, “I offer you my Son.”

And you take a brick and put it down and that brick says NO! Again the spirit of God says turn to ME. And he sends a free Bible prophecy seminar handbill to your front door. He says, “Turn from the things if this world.

Now is the time. And you take another brick and put it down. And you say, “No not now.” So God gives many opportunities many calls and many cases the response is “No” and every time we say no it’s as if we put a brick down.

And Holy Spirit continues to plead. Now imagine the brick wall is getting higher because we are so consistently saying no. Again and again we resist the Holy Spirit. And now the scaffolding is going up and were just saying no, no, no and every time you put a brick down it’s like your saying no.

And what happens is you get real close to the roof and just about there and you continue to lay those bricks down as God continues to call and you persist in rebellion eventually you get down to the last several bricks and HS says now is the time. You’re on this side and God is on this side and you’re getting closer and you’re within a foot of the roof and you continue to lay those bricks down as God speaks and you put more in the wall.

God is saying you don’t know how serious this is and He says” NOW IS THE TIME, NOW! And He’s peeking through the one last hole there is, and He says, “Why don’t you accept My mercy? Why do you choose death? You are 20, 30, 40, 70 years old I’ve given you enough time, PLEASE!

Won’t you make a full surrender right now?” And then you say no and put the last brick in the wall.

Then you are on one side and God is on the other. God could continue to plead with you, but you just can’t hear Him.

You have sealed God off. The unpardonable sin is not the first brick. The unpardonable sin is not the second brick. The unpardonable sin is last brick.

It’s not a type of sin it’s a degree of sin. It is so persistently and obstinately pushing away the Holy Spirit that we can no longer hear Him when He calls.
