Runaway Consequences

Illustration 5. A train crew allowed a freight car to get away from them. The car was on a track that sloped in the direction in which it was moving, so that it slipped away from them with ever increasing speed until it reached the end of the track. There it traveled a little way up the mountain side and stopped.

One truck was in front of the car body, the other dangled underneath, held up by the brake rods. This accident happened at night and in the morning, as the men came to work and even after the whistle blew for them to go to work, they came and looked at this car.

You would be astonished at the number of men who came there to whom it was no concern at all. There were other things they could have been doing in the time they took to study this wreck. In fact they were being paid to do these things, but they wasted their time and the Company’s.

Do you know that the Father’s business would go on much better if the members of the church would stop busy- ing themselves about the things of others that are of no concern to them? There are some things that God wants each to do. These are our concern and these only.
