Parent's Urgent Message to Missionary Child

I want you to imagine for a moment, We have a number that are going off to mission fields, and we’ve sent a number. But I want you to imagine right now if you had a son or a daughter out in a third-world country.

In fact, it was a country that you’re from. We just took a group last spring to Cuba, and that’s where my family’s from. But I want you to imagine you took your son or your daughter, went as missionaries to a country overseas where you’re from.

And then all of a sudden you learn that the government turned over, and that now there are mobs going through the country, killing foreigners. You realize your child’s life is in danger, you’ve got to get your child out of there. And so, you go to your secretary, and you say to your secretary, I want you to send a message to my child. And as you’re speaking, the secretary is dictating the message.

And basically it’s this, my child, your life is in danger. The government has turned over, and mobs are going through the cities and in the villages and they’re killing all foreigners, your life is imperiled. You have got to get out. I know the way out.

And if you follow my instructions exactly as I give them to you, you will be able to get out with your life. Here are the instructions. Now I’m going to push pause. Parent, are you going to trust that your secretary is going to dictate those instructions perfectly?

Or at that moment you’re going to tell your secretary to step aside, you’re taking over. Are you with me? God wanted to make sure that we got this the way he wrote it. This is vital to us.

That’s the message in that God wrote it with his finger.
