The Man with Envy in the Hospital
Story★★★★There were two men seriously ill and roommates in a hospital. One man was allowed to sit up for an hour each day to help drain fluid from his lungs, while the other had to remain flat on his back. The sitting man described beautiful scenes outside his window to the bedridden roommate every afternoon. As time went by, envy turned into resentment in the heart of the man who could not see out the window. One night, when the sitting man began choking and needed help, the envious man did nothing and the other died. The next morning, the bedridden man asked to be moved next to the window but found only a blank wall.
