Even in soccer, the highest score wins. But not in golf.
In golf, the low score wins. You can’t finish your golf game and brag about getting a 110 for a score. If you get a 110, that means that you can’t play. In golf, it is the person with the fewest strokes who wins.
Tiger Woods rules golf. The reason why Tiger Woods rules golf is he is consistent in getting the lowest score. Because he comes in the lowest, he rules the course. Because he comes in with fewer strokes, he’s got a whole kingdom called the Tiger Woods Kingdom and he’s running the whole show.
God says that the only way we can see His kingdom is to aim low. As long as we think that the goal is to be the high man, we will not be the winner. In God’s kingdom, it’s the low man that wins. We have to remember that the man who is poor in spirit is the man who is better off.
Blessed are the meek.
