Going in the Wrong Direction

They could turn only right or left. The driver, Glen by name, felt strongly that north was to the right. The passenger, however, was not sure.
Glen was certain that he needed to turn right, but the passenger suggested that in the interest of time they consult the map. Fortunately, as they searched, they discovered a map of the area. Upon observation, the map pointed out that left would take them north, not right. The feelings were strong, but the direction was wrong.
So it is with the Word of God. The feelings may strongly suggest one direction, but the Bible may suggest the complete opposite.
The point
Two young men's feelings strongly suggested a wrong direction until they consulted the map; similarly, our feelings may deceive us about spiritual truth, but Scripture provides certain guidance.
