Student's Debt-Free Graduation

I’ve lived at Andrews since about 1998 now. I grew up there, but then I came back.

And at that time I met a student who was seeking to get through Andrews debt free. And she would send me an email or call, and she’d say, Dan, I’m going to take off such and such a date, I’m going to go somewhere in nature, I’m going to spend the whole day asking God perhaps where I should live, because she’d be looking for an apartment, she’d say, I need God’s wisdom on that, or I’m going to spend a day asking God where I should work this summer, for example.

And she would do that very faithfully. And she told me how she would go out, and sometimes she’d go for a walk, she would take her Bible, sometimes she would take a hymn book, something like that, but that God would always tend to impress and lead her forward.

And she has been doing that. Now she’s an adult, she still follows that practice. And I think the wonderful thing was, through God’s careful guidance, and I underline the word careful guidance, she graduated from Andrews debt-free.
