Truman refused. He did not believe the admonitions given him. Defying all warnings, he settled in for the worst thinking, “This too will pass.” Then it happened.
With the power of several atomic bombs Mt. St. Helens blew its top spewing ash for hundreds of miles. The entire top of the mountain disappeared along with Harry Truman.
