Mother’s Son in Hell

A lady walked into a store one Saturday morning. When she was inside, she noticed a group of people sitting on chairs in a circle.

The owner noticing her, approached her, and said, “Lady, I am sorry. We are not open for business today. I neglected to lock the door.” “Oh,” she said, “I am sorry.”

As she was about to turn and leave, a thought came to him. “By the way, we are just having a Bible study, and if you would like, you can join us.” Looking at her watch, she said, “Okay, I have some time.” As they proceeded with the Bible study, the owner noticed the lady crying.

“Oh, I am so sorry for offending you,” he said, “This is the first time that I am doing this, and I am sure I said something that offended you. Please forgive me.” “You haven’t offended me,” she said, “You comforted me.”

“How so?” asked the owner. “You see,” she said, “I had an only son.

I raised him as best I could, but no matter what, he continued in his own way. Then last week he committed a crime.

The police gave chase. As he was speeding away, his car went out of control, crashed, and he died instantly. But that was not the worst of it.

On Sunday, as I went to church, some of the ladies approached me and said, “Oh, we are so sorry that your son is in hell. We are praying for him. I was devastated. It was bad enough that he suffered so much while living.

To think that he would be in torment forever was more than my heart could bear. I was distraught. No, you did not offend me. You brought me comfort.
